First day of school and then some

First day of school! The boys got up bright & early, with loud dramatic groans and much protesting, lol. That only lasted a few moments until they were fully awake and then they hopped excitedly out of bed and into new clothes. They both were pretty excited about the first day of school.

As always, we gotta have our first day of school pic for the scrapbook. :)

Starla didn't want to be left out, she wanted a pic in front of the tree too...

Bourbon has the first drop off....

My big 6th grader, ready to take on the world!

and there he goes into Middle School.....sigh.

Since Bourbon has to be at school at 8:25, and Roman doesn't have to be there until 9, we have a 30 min gap between one drop off and another, and I really hate going home just to turn around and go back out. So we went to a park for 20 mins, which was fun. I guess every morning until it's too cold, we will get a 20 min visit to the park!

Finally it was time for Roman to head to school!

you always gotta stop at the fountain before heading to class......

Roman's class.

After we took the boys to school we had to go grocery shopping, and then we took some flowers up to Nanny's work because it was her birthday! We timed it just right where we got to stay and eat lunch with them and have some of her birthday cake. They had yummy BBQ & fixins!

Right before the boys got out of school (Bourbon gets out at 3:20 & Roman gets out at 3:50) Starla & I made brownies as a special 'first day of school' after school snack. :) She is getting to be quite the little cooking helper. She can now crack eggs like a pro all by herself without crushing them or getting shells in the bowl. :)

After Nanny got off work, we took her out to eat at Abuelo's in Bricktown. They gave her a free sundae nacho dessert which the kids were happy to share.....

This was Starla's attire to dinner. She's so funny

When we left Abuelo's, there was a horse-drawn carriage coming down the road and Starla was very intrigued. She said she must put on her Cinderella dress, her pretty pink princess shoes and then we needed to come back for a ride. I told her we could do that sometime. :)
