Worms

So I am so behind on blog posts, I just never seem to have the time, and this wee will jsut be worse since we are going to hit up the storybook forest and Haunt the zoo during the week! And I am teaching my unit, which is going CRAZY! So after all my lessons are planned and scheduled, they then tell me that oh yeah, we have the 5th grade musical at 1:45-2:30 on tuesday, and oh yeah its the end of the month so we have good behavior movie on thursday from 1-3pm, and oh yeah we have a mad science assembly friday from 1:30-3pm. And after they switch for reading class, and specials and lunch/recess, I only have from 10:30am-11:20am, and 12:20-12:50pm, and 1:20-3pm for my unit anyways. So now I am shortened to like nothing! So I am juggling, trying to figure out what stays and what goes, what can be moved around, etc. They always say the best quality a teacher can have is being flexible! Sheesh.

We started our mealworms investigation today. My awesome science professor at UCO not only gave me the mealworms from his personal colony, but he let me borrow this handheld microscope thing that hooks up to a computer, which meant I could show it on the smartboard. It does a 50x image and shows it on the screen, and I can take stills and make videos from it! It IS AMAZING! I soooooo want one now! So the kids got to see the tiny itty bitty mealworm up close and person on the large smartboard!

Say hello to my little friend.....

ok, it's bedtime and I still have assigments to create, and birthday invitations to get out in the mail for Roman's upcoming party, and a million other things to do. I really think I need a housewife. :)
