Collections

I'm not quite sure if we are the norm, but it seems to me that our family has more than the average amount of things that we collect. All of us seem to have several different things that we collect, so we have lots of growing collections!

Starla collects elephants, the bottom shelf shows them. The top shelf has all of my Raggedy Ann & Andy stuff, which became Starla's decore when she was born. :) I also collect the old raggedy ann & andy books!

I collect interesting tea cups and wine glasses, and tinkerbell and fairy stuff. I also collect books. :)

Alan collects Star Wars and Wrestling figures and memorabilia, he has tons of stuff that covers his "dungeon" (the garage).

This is our collection of disney heads from all the disney on ice shows we have been to over the last 11 years. :)They are cups, they serve the snow cones in them at the shows. They were the boys, but then they got passed to Starla, and reside in her room now.

The boys collect postcards from different places, I need to get them a book to put them all in, but right now they sit in a bag in my room so that they don't get lost. Bourbon collects hat/lapel pins from different places. I keep saying that I am going to take some fabric and create a little thing to hang on the wall that will display them all, very simple and easy, yet it's still one of those things that never seems to get done!

Roman collects rocks too. It started as Bourbon's collection a few years ago, but he lost interest just as Roman decided he was fascinated with rocks, to Roman got the collection.

The kids collect the smashed pennies. This is Starla's collection, she doesn't have many yet, the boys have quite a bit, but I wasn't going to go into their death trap rooms to try to find theirs for a picture. :) Anytime we go somewhere with a smashed penny machine, we have to get one for each kid. They have some fun ones from our 2004 trip to Disney World, from the Scarborough Faire, from the rainforest cafe, etc.

Roman is collecting all of the state quarters, it's always exciting to look through our change when we get it to see if we by chance have come across one that he doesn't have yet!

It's fun to collect things.
