Flint Ridge

I love Flint Ridge. My family has been going there since I was probably 11 or 12, I'm not real sure. My grandparents, Aunts & Uncles all owned land out there and we would take camping trips all together, all the cousins, and set up camp right next to eachother and just have a grand ol' time. I love that now my kids get to go there! I'm the only one in the family that still goes, my parents gave me their land when I turned 21 since I still loved going but they no longer did. You have to be a landowner to go there. It is self titled a golf resort, but it's so much more than that. They have tent campings, RV hook ups, cabins and houses for rent, not to mention the people that actually have a house and live there. They have the golf course, a mini putt putt course, tennis courts, basketball courts, a game room with pool & fooseball, 2 swimming pools, 2 lakes, the river, creeks, a clubhouse with a gym & sauna and restaurant, a church, a fire station, and more. It is amazing and beautiful. It is my inspiration for alot of the scenery in my novel, which is why I took my laptop in hopes of getting work on it while we were there, but no such luck. The one time I actually had a moment to do it, I pulled it out and literally minutes later we were overtaken by a freak storm with flash flood like rains and 100 MPH winds that I swore was going to tear our tents away (which it really almost did). So much for writing!
