Live on the Plaza

OKC has a strip called The Plaza District on 16th street between Classen and Penn. It is full of fun shops and businesses. On the 2nd friday of each month they have "Live on the Plaza" with different things each month, local artists play music, display their art, they have car shows and dog shows and lots of other fun stuff! This month they had a book signing, and an ice cream making station, and bands playing, and art and lots of great stuff! You can check out more about it here . I've gone several times, but this was the first time I brought the kids (well 2/3's of them, Bourbon was at his dads)

First we went and checked out the retired racing greyhounds that had a booth set up!

Estrella, the woman from the Velvet Monkey that does our hair was there with the Pug Rescue group, with her baby pug.

We stopped into Coffey's Cafe where my friend Natalie works to say hello, and she gave the kids a peanut butter cookie, yum!

The kids made ice cream at the free make-your-own ice cream table

We had also stopped into Granny's Bizzarre, which is full of antiques, used merchandise, and local art. It was their 1 year anniversary so they gave out cupcakes and cookies, of which the kids ate one of each! Cookies, ice cream, cupcakes, oh my!!

wow, this is one big dog! The owner said he weighed 260 lbs!!!

There's ice cream on the lens here....lol

so pretty......

Jamie & Roman got some liquid refreshments from the POPS! truck.....

Estrella had her other dogs out there too. One of them has a purple mohawk..... :)

We went back to Coffey's Cafe to watch some of the open mic night performers, Starla had a blast dancing to the music.....

Roman was mesmerized by the musicians

It was fun! If you get a chance, go check it out!!
