So here is our Christmas!!
Woo hoo! Santa has been here!!
Wow, is this all for me?!
breaking into the stockings....
Roman REALLY wanted this Plants vs. Zombies game, so he was super excited that Santa brought it for him....
Yeah! It's just what I asked Santa for! Littlest Pet shop stuff!!
After the kids break into their stockings and Santa gifts, we pass out all the presents from under the tree, and everyone finds a spot to sit with their pile of presents. Then we go youngest to oldest and everyone picks a gift and opens it on their turn. It makes the whole process last longer, and we each get to see what everyone gets. That's how my family did it when I was growing up, so that's how we do it too! :)
So these pics aren't in any particular order, just random pics of everyone opening up their gifts!
Daddy got the first 5 seasons of the Simpsons...hours of entertainment. :)
Roman got Wizard chess!
Starla had so much fun, with each gift she opened she made a big dramatic display. "YES! It's just what I wanted!" "I've been wanting this my WHOLE life!" "WOW!! Thank you sooooo much, I LOVE it!" which of course makes it so much fun to watch her open gifts....
Alan's sister and family got me my first Christmas village piece!! :) It's a bed and breakfast and a little couple to go with it. Then Nanny had taken Bourbon Christmas shopping with his own money before Christmas, and he got me the 2 smaller ones on either side of the big one. How stinkin' thoughtful and sweet of him!! Now I have the beginning of a Christmas village! :)
It's not done yet, this is only the top of the quilt, but I made Alan a t-shirt quilt for Christmas. It took him a few minutes to get over the fact that I cut up all of his favorite old shirts that he's had for like 15 years. But I think they are much cooler as a part of a quilt then stuck up in a box in the garage!! :)
I got a firebowl....
and a new Smores kit to use on it! Yeah!
Roman gets a new nutcracker every year. In fact, he not only gets the big one from us, but Santa always leaves a small one in his stocking, and a snowglobe.
Daddy is going to Wrestlemania in Georgia in April, he's pretty excited.
I got a wii fit plus! (Roman was offended that I bought this for myself on black friday and then opened it up on Christmas morning.... "But you already knew you got that!" hee hee...)
Roman got a ton of Harry Potter stuff....
Roman got daddy a wrestling mask
Christmas madness fills the livingroom... :)
We had a pretty lazy Christmas day. We watched Christmas movies and played with new toys.....
Starla just hanging out with her babies....
Roman putting together his Lego Hogwarts game....
I roasted a duck for Christmas dinner....
Christmas dinner, yum!
Roman stayed in his PJ's all day Christmas day!
Bourbon didn't get home until Sunday evening. His dad had dropped him off earlier that evening at my mom's house for our Christmas celebration there, so Bourbon had to wait until he got home to open all of his gifts.
He loves the Boston Red Sox, now he has the bedding.
When we went to Joe's Crab Shack for Roman's birthday dinner, Bourbon spotted this hoodie and said how much he really wanted it.....
The annual Loot pics. Every year I load the kids up on the couch with all their presents (or as many of them as I can round up, there's always something we forget to throw in there) and take a pic for the scrapbook. This all started with Bourbon's very first Christmas, because I remember looking back at christmas pics of me as a young child with my presents and how much fun it was to see what I got and remember toys long forgotten, and I wanted to provide that fun for my kiddos too. My kids are spoiled rotten.......
Notice the cookie in his hand, and the box on his lap. When we went to see Santa at the North Pole City, Santa asked the kids what they wanted for Christmas. Bourbon and his smart aleck 12 year old self replied "a cookie". Santa then asked what kind of cookies he liked, and Bourbon said White chocolate chip macadamian nut. So it was no big surprise to us that Santa left Bourbon a box of those kind of cookies under the tree....
