Loser Week 2

So it's the big weigh in day. I lost 1.8 lbs, but I really think that the scale will reflect a bigger number after I'm not retaining so much dang water. My wedding ring, which normally slips around it's soo loose, won't even budge, my fingers are so swollen at the moment. Gotta love water retention.

But I'll take it, 1.8 lbs, a loss is a loss. Which makes it a total of 4 lbs. I did REALLY good this week. Like REALLY, REALLY good. I stuck to my shakes all week long, ate only healthy snacks between meals, and then ate a moderate dinner. I went to the gym for 65 minutes on monday, walked 25 minutes on tuesday, walked 25 minutes and went to the gym for 1.5 hours on Wed, walked 25 minutes on thursday, went to the gym for an hour on friday, and went to the gym for an hour on saturday. Yep, I told you I did REALLY good!! I even drank 64+ ounces of water each day. Which is why I think my number will be higher once my body decides to let go of all that water, lol. I didn't do that good last week and I lost 2.2 lbs. So really I should have lost more this week.

But I only was going to do a week on the shakes, and now a week off, and maybe then do another week on them. This week I am focusing on eating healthy. The Boost your metabolism cookbook talks about using foods as a "medicine" to get your body to run in it's best possible way. It lists all these foods and what they do for you, some foods will naturally boost your metabolism, some will clear up acne, some will detoxify your liver, some will help elevate your mood, some will help with cramps, etc. It's amazing all the properties that foods have that can help you. It's kinda neat learning all about it.

So this week is all about eating whole foods. Natural foods, without perservatives and additives and all that stuff. Eating good for you, healthy meals that will help boost my metabolism, flush out the bad stuff, and get my body working in the best condition it can be it. That's the goal anyways.

Of course since I only ate 1 real meal everyday last week, it takes so little food at breakfast and lunch to fill me up, and then I find myself not even eating a snack between meals like I had been. I'm just not hungry. So yeah for shrinking my stomach that week. Now I just have to try really hard to watch my portions this week so I don't just stretch it back out!

I'd like to see a bigger number this week. At least 3 lbs lost. I am going to try at least! Wish me luck! :)
