broken cable modem

So our cable modem went out. It was on the fritz for like a week, would work for portions of the day and then not other times, and now as of 2 days ago, it is caput. Sigh. So I am at my momma's house checking my e-mail and such. You never realize how dependent you are on something until it is gone!! I balance my checkbook, pay us out of Alan's business account, check on school stuff, and so much more online, and feel lost without it!!!! Not to mention I just signed up for weight watchers again and like to track my points online, making it so much easier for me to stick with me. And I signed back up for Flylady, which is an awesome site that helps people learn how to keep their house clean and lives managable, and I need to daily e-mails to get back into it and I can't get to them, making my attempt at keeping my new years goals harder to accomplish. I'm not a great housekeeper. I have gotten much better over the years, I was TERRIBLE when the boys were babies, but I have come a long way. I joined Flylady back in 2004 and got much better, it just gives you all this motivation and ways to get things done quickly, and just gives you a plan so that you know where to start. So I although I quit flylady after about a year in, feeling like I had gotten it all down, I think I am now in a place to learn yet more and do a better job. Not that I live in filth, but I have definite areas of improvement. I would be terrible embarassed if anyone could see the condition of my bedroom, it's so sad. So we shall see. I am hoping to learn a few new tricks and get into good habits! Which is why I joined weight watchers again this week. Wish me luck! :)
