Book worms

I have always been an avid reader. I am addicted to books, I am in love with words. I love reading, so it brings such joy to my heart that all three of my kids love to read!













All 3 reading at one time. It just fills me with pride. :)



I started reading the Percy Jackson series to the boys once we finished Harry Potter. We just started the 3rd book, but Bourbon just took off. He LOVES to be ahead of us. He has this need to know more than other people, I have no idea why, but he just likes to at least feel like he knows more than you, lol. So even with Harry Potter he would keep a couple chapters ahead of us. But with Percy Jackson, he just took off. He got done with all 5 books before I had finished reading them the 2nd one! He just devoured them! Which is awesome. I don't care what motivates him to read, as long as he reads. If he needs to stay a head of us to do it, then so be it! He still sits with us for the hour of reading time each night, even if he's already read it. So now I gotta figure out what series we will go on to next, so I can get him reading those books. :)

One day I want to have a wall of books, a wall to wall, floor to ceiling bookshelf! I want my dad to build it, but we shall see. I have always wanted a window seat too, to sit in and be my reading nook. Maybe one day I can have one for the kids. :)
