Day 10
Current mood: accomplished
So today was day 10 on my diet, and I have lost 7.6 lbs and 7.5 inches. And the inches were all from my chest (yeah that ones not great, lol. So far it's only an inch there though!), midriff, waist & hips, woo hoo! It's my belly I most want to lose, so that makes me happy. I probably could have lost more, but I keep sneaking bites of stuff here and there lol. I actually had lost 7.8 lbs as of yesterday morning, but I gained .2 lbs today because I ate about 3/4 of a chick-fil-a sandwich yesterday! oops. And tonight I had some of Starla's rootbeer float, so we shall see what tomorrow brings! I usually do really well though, other than those 2, and my ice cream on Saturday, I hadn't cheated at all, which is good for 10 days I think. At least for me!!
I feel much better this week too. I'm not very hungry between meals any longer, and I'm not tired any more, or cranky. So I'm guessing my body is getting adjusted to it. Which is always good. Most of my cravings, and wanting everything in sight is gone too, which is helpful. It's still really hard to stick to the 500 calories a day though, but I'm doing my best. Today I watched all the kids eat sonic for lunch, while Alan ate afalcone's calzone & chocolate canoli.... sigh, while I had my 4 oz of crab meat, 2 cups of cucumbers, a piece of melba toast and an orange. Oh well. It will all be worth it in the end!
The gym is going well also. This is my 3rd week back, and I am already tell the difference. The first week, it didn't take much or long on the elliptical to get me huffing and sweating, but this week, I actually have to work at getting going fast enough to break a sweat, which is good. I love the elliptical. I do at least 30 mins all 3 days, sometimes 45, depends on how much time I have to spend at the gym. Then I either do 30 or 45 mins on the strength training machines. I'm trying to get my arms in shape, as well as my waist/abdomen area, so after I burn all the excess fat I can off of them, they might have some sort of toned shape to them. Not a quick process, but at least I am on my way.
10 days down, 30 more to go! I think I can, I think I can.....
